Learn Spanish & Kiteboard in Tarifa Spain

Tarifa is know as one of the best kitesurfing / kiteboarding destinations in the whole of Europe!

Our Spanish Language School in Tarifa, southern Spain, first opened in 1989 and is one of the oldest in the Province of Cádiz. The school offers a professional and relaxed atmosphere and is ideal location for you to learn Spanish and Kiteboard

We are only a two minutes walk from the beach and the down town area.

All class rooms are equipped with air conditioning and heating. (All prices in Euros)

Course Outline: 2 weeks
20 Spanish Lessons per week, Accommodation in an Apartment
2 week Kitesurfing course

 Spanish:
4 Spanish lessons daily (50 minutes each), divided in a grammar- and a conversation part (maximum 8 per class)
Timetable: from Monday to Friday, 9:30 am. - 1:30 pm. with a half-hour break at 11:30 am.
Each group has a grammar teacher and another teacher for the conversation part after the break.

KiteSurfing
The two weeks beginner kitesurfing course runs for 12 hours and is divided into three parts:
Part 1: On the beach, safety rules, theory, equipment and kite flying. Target: To be able to safely set up a kite, launch and land with assistance, controlling and steering the kite
Part 2: Into the water, self re-launch of kite and bodydrag (being pulled through the water using the power produced by the wind in the kite. Target: Re-launch and steering the kite in the water, flying the kite in all areas of the wind window, maintaining power and speed until the participant can bodydrag one-handed.
Part 3: Board and kite combined, the theory of waterstarts and practise on the water (this is done in pairs).

At the completion of the course every participant will receive a certificate confirming the level reached.

The courses are run Monday to Friday at about 3.00 pm (weekends are excluded). Whether courses can be carried out depends mainly on the weather - and the wind conditions. Choice between several beaches, depending on the wind conditions.

If weather permits and the course can be finished earlier it is possible to rent gear from the school with 10% discount.

The kitesurf packages for two weeks are, in the first place, for beginners. Advanced kitesurfers can be integrated - according to their level - in running courses or get tailor-made lessons according to own needs, ie. jumping, transition, tricks etc. This is done within the group. In such special cases it cannot be guaranteed that kitesurfing lessons will start on the first possible kitesurfing day.
Minimum number of participants to start a course: 2 persons
The kitesurf package is available all year round.

Accommodation:

Plainly furnished apartments with 2- 4 bedrooms, a living room, kitchen and bath to be shared with other students or locals. In each apartment there is a washing machine. Bedding is provided, but please bring your own towels.

During low season most apartments are situated close to the school within a walking distance of two to ten minutes. Both the beach and the village centre can also be reached by foot within a few minutes from the students' apartments.
